Reflecting on an Unforgettable 2024
2024 has been a transformative year for me as an artist—one filled with milestones I could never have anticipated. From prestigious gallery and museum shows to international recognition, media features, and an inspiring residency at the Vermont Studio Center, this year has been a whirlwind of creativity and growth.
For those of you who’ve followed my journey, I want to take a moment to reflect on the highlights of this incredible year and share my gratitude for your role in making it all possible.
Highlights from 2024’s Exhibitions and Awards
Gallery and Museum Shows That Shaped My Year
It’s been an honor to have my work showcased in such meaningful spaces this year:
- European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM):
Being part of this prestigious Barcelona and New York exhibition was a dream come true and a testament to the growing international reach of my work. - Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art
My paintings were featured anaul group exhibition, allowing me to connect with national magazines seeking to include my work in 2025 publications - 33 Contemporary Gallery, Miami:
My paintings were featured in multiple shows, allowing me to connect with collectors and viewers who resonated deeply with the narratives in my work. - Nanny Goat Gallery:
Exhibiting alongside other talented artists was both humbling and inspiring, as it pushed me to grow and evolve creatively – and ship a very large piece of work from Seattle to San Francisco.
Recognition for My Work
2024 brought moments of validation that reminded me why I do what I do:
- Circle Foundation for the Arts Finalist:
I was honored to be named a finalist for the International Artist of the Year Award. This recognition motivates me to keep exploring new ways to connect through my art. - Guggenheim Fellowship Advanced Candidacy:
Progressing through the stages of the Guggenheim Fellowship process has been a highlight of my career, affirming the depth and innovation of my work.
Making Waves in Publications and Media
This year, my work received recognition in several major publications, opening new doors and sparking important conversations about my approach to art and storytelling:

I was thrilled to be featured in this publication, where I shared my thoughts on how personal stories become universal narratives in my paintings. - American Art Collector:

During 2024 Interviews and Articles about my work have been published in over 6 languages in 8 coutries from North American, to Europe, to Asia
Vermont Studio Center Residency: A Time of Growth and Discovery
One of the most exciting opportunities this year was my residency at the Vermont Studio Center. It was a period of intense focus and creativity, surrounded by an inspiring community of artists.
During the residency, I:
- Experimented with abstraction and pushed the boundaries of my visual vocabulary.
- Deepened my exploration of biographical storytelling, finding new ways to capture the resilience and vulnerability of my subjects.
- Engaged with other artists, whose perspectives and processes challenged me to think differently about my own work.
The residency gave me the time and space to take risks and refine my approach, and I can’t wait to bring what I’ve learned into my upcoming projects.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As I look forward to 2025, I feel a deep sense of excitement and purpose. There’s so much I can’t wait to share with you:
- New Works in Progress: Inspired by my residency and the stories I’ve encountered, I’m working on pieces that delve even deeper into themes of identity, resilience, and transformation.
- Upcoming Exhibitions: My work will be featured in the BFF Modern Portrait exhibition at 33 Contemporary Gallery in Miami, running from January 9 to February 20, 2025 and the Sear Museum Invitational in February.
- Behind-the-Scenes Stories: Through my blog and social media, I plan to share more about my process, the inspirations behind my work, and the incredible people whose stories I’ve had the privilege of telling.
