The torn, layered surfaces represent life’s disruptions and the hidden, unknowable aspects of identity. Through these textures, I invite viewers to explore the shared complexities of the human experience.

Commissioning a Painting
- Yes, I’m delighted to create commissioned works. Whether you’re looking for a personal piece or a special gift, I work closely with you to ensure the painting reflects your vision.
The process begins with a conversation about your ideas, inspirations, and any specific themes or subjects you have in mind. Once we establish the vision, I’ll create a proposal that includes a timeline, pricing, and any other details necessary to move forward.
Completion time varies depending on the size and complexity of the work, as well as my current schedule. Generally, you can expect a timeline of several weeks to a few months. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process, and we’ll discuss a timeline that suits your needs.
I offer a variety of sizes and can work in different mediums, though I specialize in oil painting on canvas or panel. Let me know your preferences, and I’ll provide options that best suit your vision and space.
Pricing depends on factors such as size, complexity, and the level of detail involved. I’ll give you a clear quote during our initial discussion so that you have a full understanding of the cost upfront.
Yes, I typically require a 50% deposit to begin work on the painting. The remaining balance is due upon completion, just before the artwork is shipped to you.
Yes! I’ll share updates with you at key stages in the process. This allows for minor adjustments and ensures the final piece aligns with your expectations. I want you to feel part of the creative journey
I approach each commission with great care and dedication, bringing my full artistic vision to the work. I ask clients to review my portfolio thoroughly to ensure my style aligns with what they’re seeking. While I welcome input to guide the initial concept, please understand that, as an artist, I maintain creative integrity throughout the process. Once we begin, I focus on bringing my best interpretation to life and don’t accommodate specific change requests. Rest assured, my commitment is to create a piece that resonates deeply, representing my highest level of artistry for you.
Your painting will be carefully packaged and shipped with the same attention to detail as my other artworks. Shipping within the continental U.S. is free, and I provide tracking information so you can follow its journey.
Simply reach out to me via the Contact page with your ideas. From there, we’ll set up an initial discussion to explore the project and start bringing your vision to life!
Yes, I’m happy to take on out-of-town commissions! For portrait projects that require in-person interviews or photo sessions, travel expenses—including transportation, lodging, and a per diem for time—will need to be covered. We’ll discuss all the specifics upfront so that you have a clear understanding of what’s involved. If an in-person meeting isn’t feasible, I’m also open to virtual sessions and working with high-quality photos you provide.
I do both! My work includes traditional portraiture as well as visual biographies. Visual biographies allow for greater creativity and personal insight, capturing not just likeness but also layers of story and meaning. These pieces reflect my distinctive style and approach. Traditional portraits, meanwhile, focus on capturing the subject’s appearance in a timeless, classic way. Both styles aim to honor the individual, though visual biographies provide a unique opportunity to explore the narrative elements that characterize my art.
Yes, I’m open to non-portrait commissions as well! While much of my work centers on human figures and stories, I’m equally excited to explore other themes or subjects that resonate with you. Whether it’s a symbolic piece or an artwork inspired by a particular place or idea, I bring the same attention to detail, emotion, and creativity to every commission. If you have a vision in mind, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss how to bring it to life
