Gage Academy of Art Portrait of Founders Gary Faigin and Pamela Belyea by Deborah Scott Grand Stairway

Gage Academy of Art Grand Re-Opening

I was thrilled to be attend Gage Academy of Art’s Grand Reopening at the Amazon Campus yesterday! This is not just a celebration of the new space but also a personal milestone for me. My portraits of the incredible founders, Gary Faigin and Pamela Belyea, are now hung in the grand stairway for everyone to see—a lasting tribute to their visionary leadership in building this extraordinary institution. These works capture their immense contributions to the Seattle art community, and it’s an honor to have them on permanent display in a place that has played such a pivotal role in my artistic journey.

Gage Academy has been an anchor for artists, not just in Seattle, but across the country. I’m so grateful to be part of its history and to contribute to its future through my work. This celebration marks an exciting new chapter for the school, with fresh opportunities and collaborations ahead. I hope those who walk through the Amazon Campus doors feel the weight of the legacy that Gary and Pamela built—a legacy of creativity, mentorship, and dedication to the arts.

If you’re around, stop by and see the portraits. I’d love to hear what you think! Gage Academy’s influence is vast, and I’m so proud to have my work connected with a place that continues to inspire so many artists. Here’s to the future of art in Seattle! #GageAcademy #SeattleArt #ArtLegacy #ArtistJourney #GrandReOpening #AmazonCampus
